This is the first documented photograph of the Black-tailed Antbird (Myrmoborus melanurus) for Brazil, made by Andrew Whittaker. This neat bird inhabits flooded varzea forests of western Amazonia where it's a true skulker. Andrew Whittaker and Kevin Zimmer had the first confirmed records for Brazil several years ago along the Rio Javari and will publish sightings soon. Another neat bird for Brazil's list!
